I had a chance to read your article. I liked it and agree whole heartedly with it. The purpose of my post was more of a prayerful thought than seeking to have a concise doctrinal statement. I try to stay away from the term "sinner saved by grace" as I know I am a new creation in Christ. My position in Christ is one of a saint. That position is truer than anything I feel. The intent of my article was to show how I have witnessed the devastating effects of sin in the people who still live a Christ-less life. I also see my struggle with sin. I say that with hestation because the reality is that sin has been defeated on the cross. But the closer I come to Christ I see how desperate And totally hopeless I am on my own. Yes sin has been defeated and my greatest struggle is not that the "old dog" is dead, but that I sitll want the kick it from time to time. Jake,

Many deal with their sin nature and stay stuck at The Cross. Forgetting that HE is no longer on the Cross and that the work of the Cross is finished. HE is no longer in the Grave, either. HE is alive. We who are in HIM and HE in us, have been resurrected with HIM and are no longer bound to sin.
